| Kensington
Mortgages Adds Mortgage Bureau To Its Lenders - 13 February 2006 |
|
Kensington
Mortgages has added the Mortgage Bureau (UK) to its growing network of
branded lenders.
The development
further demonstrates the commitment of Kensington to branded lending
initiatives. Ian Giles, marketing director at Kensington, says "We are
delighted to extend our branded lending initiatives to Mortgage
Bureau."
"Not only
does branded lending offer our partners such as Mortgage Bureau (UK),
to exclusive products tailored to meet the needs of their own customer
bases, but also integration into Kensington's core service offering.
This means lenders can access services like onsite underwriting, which
will enable them to strengthen their own service proposition in the
marketplace."
He adds; "We
view branded partnerships as a core part of our distribution strategy
and we will continue building on these relationships with our partners
and to strengthen our offering within the branded lending initiatives,
as we accelerate into an exciting 2006."
Mike Lloyd,
spokesperson for Mortgage Bureau (UK), says "This is another step for
both Mortgage Bureau (UK) product and service offering. Our direct
customers will have more choice and know that we will be able to offer
an enhanced service."
"Our rapidly
growing franchise network will also be able to offer their customers
an even quicker service with enhanced surety of decision. We will
continue to look for ways of working even more closely with Kensington
in the future." |

Mortgage Bureau Forges Ahead With Expansion Of Franchise - 13
February 2006 |
|
Mortgage Bureau
(UK) is forging ahead with the expansion of its franchise packaging
operation.
Mike Lloyd, head
of sales at Mortgage Bureau (UK) says, "The plan is to have six
franchise operations by the end of March but the way things are going
we should have double that amount."
The packager
has already opened branches in Sheffield, Bradford, Henor (Near
Derby), Rochdale, Halifax and is due to launch in Scotland in April.
Mortgage
Bureau (UK) is looking to target IFA's and brokerages interested in
gaining additional income from packaging.
The franchise
agreement Mortgage Bureau (UK) offers is an annually renewable license
with a £470 charge in the first year, with all packaging software
provided.
Franchises
have a minimum contractual target of 15 cases a month which means they
don't have to worry about satisfying Mortgage Bureau (UK)'s lending
requirements to its panel of 14 lenders.
Lloyd adds,
"Its not just about giving brokers greater control over the service
they provide customers."
The latest
branch to get on board is Redwood Independent Financial Advisers in
Halifax. Eric Ward, managing director of Redwood IFA says, "I am
pleased to be joining a company that not only packages to an excellent
standard but was also willing to share ideas from the moment we stated
to talk." He also adds, "Mortgage Bureau (UK) has an
uncomplicated way of working in what has become a complicated
industry." |

12 Members To Make Up
AMPD - 17 January 2006 |
|
The recently
formed Association of Mortgage Packagers and Distributors has
confirmed it will be made up of 12 former members of the Professional
Mortgage Packagers Alliance, with the potential for more packagers to
join in the future.
Mortgage
Strategy exclusively revealed earlier this week that the PMPA was
splitting up after the four founder members, BDS, Complete Mortgages &
Loan Services, All Types of Mortgages and Amity Direct, allegedly
because of disagreements over shared equity in lender Unity Homeloans
and equal voting rights.
Although it
was originally thought 11 members would be leaving the PMPA to set up
a not for profit packaging association, John Mawdsley, managing
director of The Mortgage Trading Company, says that a total of 12
members have confirmed they are jumping ship.
The Mortgage
Bureau (UK) is one of the 12 members that are part of the AMPD. With
the departures this will leave the PMPA with just 10 members, which
still include the four founding members. |

SAM have decided on a policy of not

in conjunction with their high levels of service enabled by packaging

street.
Gary Hall, director of SAM, said "It

time. Our partnership with Mortgage Bureau means that we are able to
do this with the knowledge that we are part of a large innovative

Infinity - 5 June 2006 |
|
Mortgage Bureau
(UK) has added Infinity Mortgages to its panel.
Mike Lloyd, head
of sales at Mortgage Bureau (UK), said: "It is important to us that we
do not add lenders to our panel merely to be able to say that we
package for more lenders. We are pleased to add Infinity Mortgages to
our panel as we believe they offer several unique selling points that
fill specific gaps in our panel offering to our customers. This will
also further strengthen our franchise proposition, enabling all our
branches to package a greater percentage of all their cases."
Simon Biddle,
head of marketing and communications at Infinity, commented: "We are
delighted to be added to Mortgage Bureau's lending panel. This is yet
further evidence of not only Infinity Mortgages' being seen as a
serious lending player by the packaging sector" |

PMPA Issues Statement On AMPD - 19 January 2006 |
|
The Professional
Mortgage Packagers Alliance (PMPA) has issued a statement in relation
to the establishment of a new group, the Association of Mortgage
Packagers and Distributors (AMPD).
It follows the
announcement last week that some members of PMPA had decided to leave
the group.
In the
statement, PMPA said, "Following the initial agreement of the
directors of PMPA to tacitly support and react to the demands of its
membership prior to Christmas, new information was presented to the
directors at a subsequent board meeting which caused a revision to
that initial decision."
"As a result,
all of the members were advised, at a meeting last week, that PMPA
would continue in its current format. It was announced that we would
work towards making a number of the changes members had requested and
move forward with those members who felt they would like to continue
with PMPA. All members were offered the opportunity to advise if they
wished to stay with us. Subsequent to this, ten of the current member
firms expressed their decision to stay with PMPA."
"We are
saddened that the new group, AMPD, have felt the need to try and
engage in a war of the worlds in the press. We have not, and will not
respond or engage in such a manner. Therefore, and with the exception
of this statement, we will make no further comment on the split other
than to say, as we always have, that we wish the new group well and
trust that they too, will now let the matter rest."
"PMPA will
concentrate on the retained member membership and work closely with
it, our lender partners and our intermediary introducers who, we are
delighted to say, have all stood closely beside us during the past few
weeks."
"As we enter
2006, PMPA may be leaner than it was, but our membership are fully
committed to the core principles and values that have been our
bedrock, since its formation, in July 2000. We will advise the full
list of PMPA members and also a number of new, associate members
shortly. We have the ability to continue helping our members grow
their businesses and know that, together, we will embrace and support
the recent changes in a positive manner. Most of all, we have a group
that have total belief in each other and who all embrace the long term
motto of PMPA 'Strength and Unity' as we move forward together." |
